Verbier is one the best-known ski resorts in Switzerland, attracting the rich and famous. It also has a reputation as one of the best aprés ski destinations in the world.
The ski area is known as the 4 Valleys with 410km of piste with a maximum elevation of 3330m. The area is synonymous with freeride and has a reputation for being a challenging ski area with a high number of red, black and itinerary runs. Beginners shouldn't be put off as they are adequately catered for, especially at the dedicated beginners area of Les Esserts and the gentle terrain of La Chaux.

If you're already in resort, take the Médran gondola to Ruinettes. At the top, head onto the snow — the Mouton Noir restaurant is directly opposite. We'll meet outside.
