T&C’S

When we confirm a booking with you, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

GENERAL

Payment in full is required at the time of booking (unless otherwise arranged with us).

Our website has descriptions of the products referred to in these terms and conditions. If anything is not clear, please contact us on info@snow-pros.ski.

All prices quoted by us and paid for by you are for instruction only, unless we explicitly state this in our booking confirmation. You must arrange and pay separately for all other potential costs connected with the lesson, for example any equipment hire, lift passes, accommodation and insurance.

Please make sure that you check your confirmation email for information on where you need to meet your instructor for the lesson.  All of the information that you need for your session is on your confirmation email, unless we have made arrangements by another communication method. It is up to you to make sure that you are in the right place at the right time for the lesson and any delays to the start time cannot, unfortunately, be refunded or made up at the end of the lesson. Whilst we understand that some delays are inevitable during high season and our instructors will be as accommodating as possible, normally our instructors will have another lesson following yours and we cannot compromise the timekeeping for the following sessions.

Group lessons are normally restricted to 6 people. Group sizes could change if we feel a client’s ability would be more suited to another group.

SAFETY

Our instructors are bound by legal obligations and will adhere, at all times, to the International Ski Federation (FIS) rules, ski resort warnings and their professional limits. Safety is paramount and will always be our priority.

Skiing and snowboarding are hazardous activities and you undertake them at your own risk. Snow Pros ski school and its instructors are covered by our own insurance however taking out your own full skiing insurance is strongly advised and should include cover for the appropriate activities e.g. on/off-piste skiing, snowboarding as well as accident, rescue, third party liability, repatriation and equipment. Personal insurance for clients is NOT included in the cost of the lesson.

The instructors will choose the appropriate terrain for the level of skiers or boarders in their lessons. This may or may not be between the piste markers or off piste if appropriate.

In some lessons your instructor might include some off-piste skiing away from the piste markers. Please ensure that you have adequate insurance to ski off piste. In some off-piste specific sessions you will be required to wear avalanche safety equipment. If you don’t have any we can advise you where you can hire some. We reserve the right to remove clients from these sessions if appropriate safety equipment is not used.

LIABILITY

Snow Pros will not be held responsible for any injury, losses or accidents which occur during your lesson. The ski school does have company liability insurance in accordance with Swiss law and in the event of any dispute, the legal jurisdiction will be Monthey and Swiss law.

CANCELLATION

Like many other businesses in our industry, we have certain fixed overhead costs that enable us to promote tourism and provide services to clients visiting us in the mountains. In all instances of cancellation the first session of a series of sessions is the date that we will consider as ‘your booking’. Therefore, any cancellation has to be before the first day of a lesson or a series of lessons.

CANCELLATION BY US

In the event that we cannot rebook (at 100% of the value of your session or the value left of your sessions) your session for another date, we will refund in cash 50% of the value of your booking. This amount reflects the fixed overheads of the ski school and the amount that it is possible for us to refund on any given cancelled booking.

We cannot be held responsible for things outside our control, such as bad weather, piste or lift closure, acts of war, acts of government/canton, travel restrictions, health pandemics etc.

If we are unable to provide our services due to something outside of our control we will in the first instance, try to rebook your session (at 100% of the value of the session(s) or of the value left of those sessions) for another time or provide a letter for your insurance company for you to claim with them. If you would prefer a cash refund, this will be given at 50% of the value of the lesson or series of lessons or the value left of those sessions.

In the unlikely and exceptional event that SnowPros Ski School cannot meet its refund obligations, no cash refunds will be available to clients, only the option to rebook.

CANCELLATION BY YOU

In the event of cancellation by you, for whatever reason, we will first try to rebook your session for another date, provided that your cancellation came more than 48 hours prior to the start of your first lesson or series of lessons with us. If you give us more than 48 hours notice, the session or sessions can be rebooked (at 100% of the value of it/them) or a refund of 50% of the value of the session(s) or what remains of the sessions will be given.

If you cancel within 48 hours of the lesson or first day of a series of lessons there will be no refund or rebook option. This is because the instructor would have given up their time that day to be there and they need to be paid accordingly or their time available to lessons could have been sold to our other clients. With less than 48 hours notice we will have no opportunity to sell that time again. We are happy to provide a letter for your insurance company in this instance.

In the unlikely and exceptional event that SnowPros Ski School cannot meet its refund obligations, no cash refunds will be available to clients, only the option to rebook.

PHOTOGRAPHY & VIDEOS

During the booking process you will be asked if you are happy for our instructors to take photographs or videos for instructional purposes and/or for the ski school’s marketing material. If you have agreed to one and/or both of these, we reserve the right to use these images. If you would like to revoke any permissions previously given, please contact us on reservations@snow-pros.ski to let us know.

SATISFACTION

If for any reason you are not happy with the lesson or service provided please let us know at the earliest opportunity to enable us to deal with your feedback appropriately.
