English Speaking Ski School in Champoussin
Snowpros is an English speaking Swiss ski, and snowboard school located in Champoussin on the Swiss side of the Portes du Soleil where we operate private and group lessons in ski, snowboard and telemark.
Champoussin is a small alpine village in the centre of the Swiss part of the Portes du Soleil ski area sandwiched between Les Crosets and the ski resort of Morgins and is a great place for a variety of snow sports.
From the top of the village, you can get on the Aiguille du Champey chairlift and be skiing the tree runs of the area in no time. Experienced skiers can head to the Pointe des Mossettes for some exciting challenges and beginner skiers can find their feet on the many blue runs in around the village.
Champoussin has one of the best beginner slopes in the whole of the Portes du Soleil.
Champoussin Swiss Ski School - Switzerland
Snowpros offers English language ski lessons with native speaking ski and snowboard instructors for you to book. Other ski schools can provide you with English ski lessons but we are one of the few schools that will guarantee fluent instructors that have English as a first language.
We find beginner skiers benefit from a better level of understanding between you and your ski instructor. The clear communication will allow you to improve and grow in confidence in your skiing. It can also make it more enjoyable if you are spending a big part of your day in a ski lesson.
Unlike other ski schools, we don't limit our ski instructors to the same resort every day. This allows them to visit other ski areas in Switzerland. So when you find yourself skiing in a different ski resort you can get us to book the same instructor continuity in your development.
Within our ski schools across the Portes du Solei including the resorts of Champoussin and Les Crosets, you can choose to book private ski lessons, beginner lessons, snowboard lessons, intermediate lessons and advanced.
Why Choose Champoussin
Champoussin unique location located in the Portes du Soleil makes it a great place to base yourself when skiing in Switzerland and is easy to get to from the Val-d’Illiez.
From the town, you can get on the slopes very easily and there are some great beginner areas to choose from which is why ski schools love running lessons in the area. It also makes it a great base to make the most of your private ski lesson, find your instructor, put your skis on, get skiing.
There is also plenty for more experienced skiers to get their skis into either in the immediate area surrounding Champoussin, nearby Les Crosets, the whole Swiss ski area of the full PDS. There is plenty of skiing for one and all.
The village is small and charming, that has all the things you need for a quiet, relaxed winter ski holiday experience surrounded by traditional Swiss chalets.

Beginners skiing in Champoussin
All the team at SnowPros Ski School love teaching in Champoussin. The lifts are relatively new are great to use and give us access to some great terrain like the blue runs near the car park and Sépaya lift.
Its position in the trees means that if the weather closes in it won't affect your skiing or snowboarding as you can make the most of the definition the wooded runs provide.
There are also some great blue runs at the top allowing you to ski to the nearby linked resort of Morgins and back into Champoussin for a true sense of achievement.
Intermediate skiing in Champoussin
At 1580m the resort is fairly snow-sure and has one of the longest ski runs in the area lasting 7km.
Intermediates are treated to the fast Didier Deffago ski run at the top of the Pointe de l'Au. There are red and black runs that feed down into the town of Champoussin.
There are more options for challenging runs and slopes if you ski down into the next door bowl that is home to Les Crosets.
It is that access to all these pistes that gives you a great reason to stay here and get some lesson from our ski school.
Eating & Aprés in Champoussin
There isn't a huge aprés scene in the quiet village of Champoussin so the choice is limited.
If you are looking for a lunch spot we recommend popping into Chez Gaby. The staff are welcoming and the rosti is one of the best available in the area. Also on the menu is a selection of traditional Valaisian specialities it really is a ski school favourite.
For a nice drink and great atmosphere, you can stop off at the Champoussin Lodge. It is located just off the piste in the centre of the village. The terrace has great views and there is a pool table.
For day time dinning when you are out on the ski slopes, there are plenty of options over in the Ski resorts of Les Crosets and Champery.
